As well as the main
washing equipment on site, car washes usually have several high
suction vacuum stands, fragrance machines and sometimes a carpet
shampooer. Vending islands dispense products such as glass cleaners,
leather polishes, cleaning and polishing cloths and tyre black. Change
machines, some of which accept credit cards, are an essential factor
if the site is not manned at all times. A newer and popular addition
is the stand alone dog wash, with all its own wash functions.
Smaller add-ons such
as doors for the automatic bay, flagpoles and even coffee dispensing
machines are additional equipment which can enhance the profitability
of the business. Replacement parts and spares are available usually
imported by local distribution agents.
